About the role
Reporting to the Service Lead City Greening, and offered on a permanent, full time basis, the Supervisor Streetscapes is responsible for the maintenance of streetscapes within the City, identifying and implementing maintenance activities and services, including overseeing the team and contractors.
A snapshot of your new role:
Responsible for the operational management of all Streetscapes activities within the Long Park and City Centre Precinct
Assure the quality of work carried out by contractors and the Streetscape Maintenance Team is performed to a high standard
Ensure the continued maintenance and overall improvement of the City’s streetscape assets
Lead the team to drive delivery of strategic outcomes and enhance the overall performance of this team through strong leadership and building team capabilities
Provide coaching and mentoring to team members directly responsible for service delivery with a focus on developing efficiencies, optimising talent and, retaining high performers
What you will bring to the role:
Tertiary qualification in Horticulture or minimum three years demonstrated experience in an equivalent role
Strong people management skills to lead, support and develop a team of field staff
Experience in financial management and daily budgeting, including project costings
Developed customer service, public relations and client liaison skills
Ability to plan, supervise and organise work teams
Digital literacy, with ability to use modern software packages such as MS suite including Excel, Word, Outlook and TechOne products
Qualification in Supervision or Leadership desirable
Current Basic Worksite Traffic Management, front end loader and chainsaw tickets desirable
