About the role As a Project Accountant, you’ll partner closely with project managers and operational leaders to deliver financial clarity, ensuring projects are on time, on budget, and set up for success. You’ll provide commercial insights that drive decision-making and support sustainable growth.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end financial control of projects, from budgets and forecasts through to reporting and analysis
• Monitor project costs, margins, and performance against targets
• Deliver timely financial reports and ensure compliance with policies and accounting standards
• Assist with month-end reporting, variance analysis, and project cashflow management
• Support continuous improvement of financial systems, reporting tools, and processes
• Provide meaningful financial insights to operational and senior leadership teams

About you You’ll be a commercially astute and proactive finance professional who thrives in project-based environments. To succeed in this role, you will bring:

• CA/CPA qualification (or working towards)
• Experience in project accounting within mining, construction, or engineering services
• Strong skills in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to partner across operations
• A proactive mindset with the drive to add value and improve outcomes
