About the role

We are seeking an experienced Property Manager to join our team at McGrath Devonport, a leading residential real estate agency in the Devonport area. As Property Manager, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of residential properties, ensuring optimal tenant and landlord satisfaction. This is a full-time position based in our Devonport, Tasmania office.

What you'll be doing

• Manage a portfolio of residential properties, including single-family homes, apartments, and townhouses
• Coordinate property inspections, maintenance, and repairs to ensure properties are well-maintained
• Screen and select qualified tenants, negotiate and prepare lease agreements
• Manage the collection of rent payments and address any tenant issues or concerns
• Communicate effectively with landlords, providing regular updates and addressing their needs
• Ensure compliance with all relevant real estate laws and regulations
• Contribute to the growth and development of the property management division

What we're looking for

• Minimum 2 years of experience in residential property management or a related field
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with landlords, tenants, and contractors
• Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively
• Thorough understanding of residential tenancy laws and regulations
• Proficient in using property management software and other relevant technology
• A customer-focused approach and a commitment to providing exceptional service
• A valid real estate license or the ability to obtain one
