About the Role

LH Partners is seeking an experienced Safety & Training Advisor (SATA) to join a leading drilling contractor, driving safety and training outcomes across exploration drilling operations in Western Australia.

This is a pivotal role where you’ll combine field presence, training delivery, and safety leadership to ensure crews are competent, compliant, and confident to work in remote and dynamic environments. You’ll be trusted to lead by example, coach teams, and embed a proactive culture of safety and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead safety and training programs across exploration drilling projects
• Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks, and hands-on field training
• Conduct audits, inspections, and risk assessments to ensure compliance with WHS standards
• Support and participate in incident investigations, including root cause analysis
• Mentor and assess drilling crews to build capability and ensure competency
• Develop and maintain training programs, including accredited and non-accredited modules
• Keep training records, compliance matrices, and HSET documentation accurate and up to date
• Act as a key safety leader on site, promoting a proactive culture of care and accountability

About You

• Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40122/40116 desirable)
• Certificate III/IV in Drilling Operations or equivalent practical drilling experience
• 3–5+ years in exploration drilling (RC, diamond, aircore, surface or underground)
• Strong understanding of WHS legislation and safety systems in remote operations
• Proven experience delivering and assessing training in both classroom and field settings
• Current manual C-Class driver’s licence
• Willingness to travel and work FIFO to remote WA sites
