About the role
In this role, you will be responsible for standardising training requirements, providing a clear and centralised framework for managing both mandatory and non-mandatory training. This includes the recording, reporting, tracking, and monitoring of training activities—ensuring a consistent and streamlined approach across the organisation.

Work type: Permanent, full-time
Classification: Band 8 Commencing at $122,040 pa plus super

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and manage the City's training and compliance processes to ensure adherence to all statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Establish and maintain policies and procedures that standardise training, clarify accountability, and support organisation-wide compliance.
  • Identify current and future compliance training needs in collaboration with internal stakeholders, subject matter experts, and regulatory bodies.
  • Oversee the implementation of Key Performance Indicators and monitor compliance performance at both organisational and service levels.
  • Optimise the use of the Learning Management System (LMS) as a central platform for recording, tracking, and reporting training compliance.
  • Create and deliver compliance reports and actively promote training opportunities across the organisation.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with people leaders, stakeholders, and external bodies to support capability development and training

About you
To be successful in this role, you will have a Post graduate degree in Human Resources Management, Education or relevant discipline, or significant or extensive specialist experience.

Essential Experience:

  • Proven experience managing organisational training compliance, including the use of Learning Management Systems (LMS), and the development of related policies and procedures.
  • Skilled in conducting training needs analyses and developing training plans.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with experience preparing reports and presenting to senior leadership.
  • Ability to interpret and apply policy and legislation in operational and practical contexts.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to meet tight deadlines and work independently.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to implementing solutions.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience with Learning Management Systems.

Preferred candidates will be required to undergo a National Police Check as part of the recruitment process (funded by the City).
