Job Summary

As a member of the Risk and Compliance Team, this role will assist with the daily management of ColCap’s risk and compliance functions to ensure ColCap remains compliant with all relevant financial services laws, regulations and licensing requirements.

This is a full-time role based in Melbourne, Australia.

Key job tasks and responsibilities

· Day-to-day issue and incident management, including overseeing the Compliance Inbox, breach reporting, root cause analysis and implementing control improvements

· Compliance control management, including drafting and managing controls and compliance attestations

· Oversee the Policy Governance Framework, including assisting with drafting and implementing policies, mapping policies into Protecht, and managing policy compliance

· Assist with the maintenance and adherence to ColCap’s compliance obligations across relevant financial services legislation

· Help maintain records, registers and reports for the Risk and Compliance department

· Assist with developing, implementing, updating and maintaining compliance training across our business

· Manage line 2 complaints with AFCA

· Complete line 2 reviews as requested

· Assist the CRO and Senior Manager Risk and Compliance as required

Key required skills

· Previous risk and compliance experience in the mortgage lending industry

· Strong understanding of regulatory compliance and ideally exposure to ASIC, AUSTRAC, AFCA and the Corporations Act

· Exceptional attention to detail

· Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and confidence to engage with and manage stakeholders at all levels

· Strong problem-solving skills with a pro-active and collaborative outlook

· Team player with the ability to work autonomously while maintaining working relationships

· A flexible and agile approach with an ability to prioritise and meeting competing deadlines

· A keen interest in financial markets and regulations
