You'll oversee a team of Infrastructure Support Engineers, a Database Analyst, an IT Operations Analyst, and an Endpoint Computing Analyst—ensuring a secure, resilient, and efficient IT environment that supports business growth and digital transformation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a small technical team, fostering a culture of high performance and professional development.
  • Manage and optimise Microsoft Azure services, including Windows & Linux VMs, networking, cost control, backup, patching, and updates.
  • Oversee endpoint management, telephony, print services, and Microsoft Teams infrastructure.
  • Drive automation of manual processes to improve efficiency.
  • Ensure ITIL-aligned change management practices are followed.
  • Maintain disaster recovery strategies, monitoring, and performance reporting.
  • Collaborate with vendors and stakeholders to meet SLAs and deliver effective solutions.
  • Champion service excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement across infrastructure operations.

What We're Looking For
Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Microsoft Azure certifications (Fundamentals & Administrator required; Solutions Architect, Virtual Desktop, or Network Engineer desirable).
  • ITIL Foundation v3 or v4.

Experience

  • 10+ years in IT infrastructure or operations.
  • 3+ years in a leadership/team lead role with proven people development.
  • Strong, hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure.
  • Expertise in endpoint management (e.g. Microsoft Intune).
  • Experience with DR planning, monitoring systems, automation, and patching.

Skills & Competencies

  • Deep technical knowledge of Microsoft Azure infrastructure.
  • Strong capability with monitoring platforms (e.g., Site24x7, Azure Monitor).
  • Excellent problem-solving and workload prioritization skills.
  • Confident, credible leader with strong communication and documentation ability.
  • Desirable: Microsoft Teams telephony and SharePoint administration experience.
