The Opportunity

We are seeking an ambitious, experienced, and detail-oriented Accountant & Assistant Business Manager to manage the financial health of our practice. This is a small team environment, which means the role incorporates both very hands-on duties at times and working with the leadership team on more strategic plans. The responsibilities go well beyond financial accounting. You will be responsible for financial reporting, compliance (in conjunction with external taxation accountant) , performance reporting, systems development and business management while providing leadership of our finance function.

We will consider a part time appointment and flexibility with working hours/days for the right candidate.

What We're Looking For

Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related field.

Ideally CPA or CA qualified (or working towards).

Minimum 3 years' experience in accounting.

Leadership ambition & developing suitable skills

Highly desirable: healthcare/medical experience.

Sound knowledge of Australian accounting and taxation environment.

Proficiency in MYOB or similar.

Advanced Excel skills.

Excellent analytical and communication skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Must have permanent resident status/right to unrestricted work in Australia.
