We’re partnering with a construction company to find an IT Manager who will provide leadership across IT operations, systems, and infrastructure. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll guide the IT team, strengthen security, and ensure the technology environment supports Hindmarsh’s diverse operations across Australia. You won't just be an IT Manager, you’ll be an enabler

What you’ll be doing…

• Owning IT operations end to end across monitoring, patching and system security
• Keeping servers, endpoints, line-of-business apps and backups running at peak performance
• Managing networks across routers, switches, VPN, SD-WAN and firewalls
• Leading and mentoring ICT Support Engineers, lifting service and capability
• Nailing onboarding and offboarding with a tight access matrix and strong endpoint security
• Running vendor relationships, procurement and billing with a steady hand
• Delivering infrastructure upgrades and spinning up site office IT when needed
• Administering Microsoft 365, Azure and Entra ID, Active Directory, VMware and SQL Server
• Supporting MySQL and Apache, plus enterprise storage arrays like Dell EMC
• Owning PBX VoIP and video conferencing so comms stay crisp
• Improving integration and unlocking data for business users
• Strengthening cyber posture with Essential Eight alignment and regular vulnerability assessments
• Driving backup and disaster recovery using tools such as Veeam, Commvault or Zerto

What you’ll bring...

You do not need to tick every box. Curiosity, leadership, and problem-solving matter most.

• 6+ years in IT leadership or lead engineering roles
• Customer-facing IT support experience and a service mindset
• Track record mentoring, coaching and building small high-performing teams
• Depth across Windows Server, SQL, VMware, Microsoft 365, Azure and Entra ID
• Networking expertise across WAN/LAN, firewalls, SD-WAN and connectivity
• Exposure to Cradlepoint and 4G/5G design and deployment is a plus
• Practical security know-how, identity modernisation and backup and recovery experience
• Strong vendor management and stakeholder engagement
• Degree in Information Technology or a related field is preferred
