Your new role:
Metro South Health is seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse Practitioner – Nephrology to join the Chronic Disease Nursing team within Internal Medicine at Logan Hospital. This permanent, full-time position plays a vital role in improving outcomes for patients with chronic kidney disease by delivering advanced, evidence-based, and person-centred care.
In this role, you will:
- Provide comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and referral within your advanced scope of practice.
- Collaborate with nephrologists, medical specialists, and the multidisciplinary team to deliver coordinated care.
- Prescribe medications, interpret diagnostics, and coordinate care consistent with NMBA standards.
- Contribute to research, quality improvement, and education to support best practice in nephrology.
About you:
You will be an innovative, patient-focused Nurse Practitioner with the clinical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to excellence needed to deliver high-quality nephrology services.
To be successful, you will demonstrate:
- Registration with AHPRA as a Nurse Practitioner and a relevant Master's qualification.
- Extensive experience in renal nursing, with at least five years of advanced practice.
- Strong clinical decision-making and diagnostic capability.
- Proven leadership across clinical care, education, research, and system improvement.
