Qualifications & Experience:

Forklift License

2+ years previous experience in a logistics/warehousing or similar role.

Good understanding of supply chain procedures

Excellent organisation, time-management and planning skills

Excellent attention to detail

Working knowledge of standard organisational software such as word processor, stock database, and spreadsheet software

Responsibilities:

Manage the recieval and delivery of goods

Liase with external freight companies - scheduling, booking, tracking, and organising pick-ups and deliveries.

Communicate with other departments, around freight updates, bookings, and scheduling

Organise stock transfers between Viking warehouses across Australia

Complete the required documentation for your department

Follow appropriate inward and outward goods and storage procedures.

Manage stock storage, making sure that all stock is tabulated and stored neatly in designated positions, following FIFO procedures.

Load and unload trucks at pickup and delivery points (using forklifts).

Pick stock for customer orders, according to internal quality and FIFO standards.

Liaise with warehouse staff and other internal teams to test products’ quality (status upon delivery and storage conditions)

Ensure all stock is secured and in good condition and is delivered intact.

Counting and confirming physical inventory.

Inspecting invoices and picking/packing documents to ascertain all stock requirements.

Loading merchandise thoughtfully to facilitate quick access.

Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene to both yourself and the warehouse area.

Follow company WHS requirements, and ensure you operate in a manner that protects yourself and your fellow employees.

Follow instructions well and operate in an orderly manner.
