About the Role

The Project Officer coordinates and delivers Study NSW programs that promote NSW as a global education destination and support international student success. Manages competing priorities and deadlines while providing high-quality project and administrative support in an agile team environment.

As an integral part of the Study NSW team, the Project Officer helps to drive NSW Government priorities, with international education a key contributor to the NSW economy and skills pipeline.

This role will be responsible for the design and delivery of programs aimed at leveraging the role of international education as a skills driver, aligning education-to-employment pathways with current and emerging workforce needs. The Project Officer will also cultivate close relationships with a range of stakeholders, including education providers, student accommodation operators and senior government officials across jurisdictions, and lead on outreach and engagement activities, such as Roadshows and Committees.

We're Looking For

  • Program Delivery & Coordination: Ability to manage and deliver strategic programs that support international student success, align education-to-employment pathways, and meet project milestones under tight deadlines
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with an aptitude to lead outreach activities and build relationships across education providers, government officials, and industry partners
  • Policy, Research & Operational Insight: Skilled in conducting research and analysis to inform policy and operational delivery, with experience preparing briefs and documentation that support strategic decision-making
  • Marketing & Campaign Support: Experience supporting marketing and communications initiatives that promote investment and industry growth, with knowledge of international education markets and trade practices
  • Administrative Support: Proven capability in providing high-quality administrative support, including coordinating meetings, preparing documentation, and maintaining efficient systems and processes
