Our public sector client is seeking an International Engagement Officer to join their team on a 6-month temporary contract. The role will be working 5 days per week/ 7.5 hours per day. This position is located within Perth nearby to public transport. The role will be working in a medium-sized and supportive team. Reporting to the Principal Economic Development Officer, this role will support the planning, delivery and implementation of programs and activities in line with the organisation's economic development strategy.

Our client is seeking someone to commence as soon as possible. Candidates with notice periods will still be considered.

Your new role

• Lead and deliver international programs aligned with the organisation's strategies and budgets.
  
• Coordinate inbound/outbound delegations and visits.
  
• Strengthen trade, cultural, and economic ties through various partnerships.
  
• Provide strategic advice and prepare high-level documentation (briefings, speeches, policies).
  
• Support local businesses with training in exports, negotiation, and international trade.
  
• Manage international projects and initiatives.
  
• Ensure compliance with legislation, policies, and WHS standards.
  

What you'll need to succeed

• Relevant tertiary qualification.
  
• Proven success in coordinating and delivering projects.
  
• Strong experience working with domestic and international government bodies.
  
• In-depth understanding of international engagement strategies and practices.
  
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills across diverse groups.
