Building Estimator – Residential & Insurance

Robina, Gold Coast

We are seeking a motivated and detail-driven Building Estimator to join our dynamic team based in Robina on the Gold Coast. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for either an experienced Estimator or a qualified Tradeserson looking to move off the tools and establish a long-term career in estimating.

With a strong pipeline of residential and insurance-related projects, we are looking for someone who is accurate, organised, and eager to grow within a supportive team environment. An insurance background will be highly regarded, but is not essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and deliver accurate and timely building cost estimates.

Interpret project documentation including plans, specifications, and engineering reports.

Undertake measurement take-offs through estimation software

Prepare formal cost reports to support estimates.

Liaise with internal teams, clients, and suppliers to clarify requirements and resolve queries.

Contribute to the continuous improvement of systems, processes, and cost databases.

Skills & Experience:

Residential estimating or quoting experience – Minimum of 3+ years.

Previous insurance industry experience (e.g., repair and reinstatement works) is highly regarded.

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the Office Suite; knowledge of estimating software is desirable but not essential.

Qualified Tradesperson with a strong understanding of construction methods who is ready to transition into estimating is encouraged to apply.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
