Career Opportunity

We are seeking a person with experience and/or qualifications in human services to work with families who are homeless to assist them to get and keep secure housing.

Job Responsibilities

The position’s responsibilities include:

Completing intake assessments

Providing culturally sensitive case management support to families residing in SHAC accommodation, short term motels or elsewhere

Facilitating client access to housing and other services as part of the case management services provided

Maintaining accurate client records and recording client data as required

Key Selection Criteria

• Qualifications in human services and/or significant relevant experience

• Well developed culturally sensitive case management skills

• Ability to work collaboratively within the organisation and with external partners

• Ability to work within a social justice framework

Positions at SHAC are subject to the successful candidate being able to obtain a Working with Children card (Blue Card) and the maintenance of a current Qld Driver’s License.
