The Opportunity
We are seeking a Finance & Compliance Manager (Part-Time) to take ownership of Nebula’s financial backbone. This role is not about project paperwork — our PMs cover that. Instead, this role ensures the whole company’s financial and compliance health is watertight.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing payroll, superannuation, and entitlements.
Preparing and lodging BAS, IAS, and payroll tax.
Reviewing timesheet compliance and ensuring accuracy across staff and projects.
Overseeing invoicing, accounts payable/receivable, and debtor follow-up.
Preparing weekly cashflow forecasts and financial health snapshots.
Building and maintaining internal controls to prevent errors or misuse.
Liaising with external accountants, auditors, and the ATO.
About You
You’re detail-driven, disciplined, and enjoy keeping the numbers tight. You’re confident spotting anomalies, enforcing compliance, and ensuring financial systems run properly.
Strong background in finance, bookkeeping, or accounting (CPA/CA beneficial but not essential).
Hands-on experience with Xero (Simpro highly desirable).
Understanding of construction/contracting finance preferred.
Proven ability to manage compliance — BAS, IAS, payroll tax.
