About the role

Foredeck Constructions' is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our dynamic team in Sydney, NSW. As a Project Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the successful delivery of our construction projects, overseeing all technical aspects and ensuring the smooth execution of our work.

What you'll be doing

Collaborate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to develop and implement comprehensive construction plans

Monitor and coordinate project timelines, resources, and budgets to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget

Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and other technical documents

Identify and resolve technical issues that arise during construction, proposing innovative solutions

Oversee the work of site crews, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards

Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities to address concerns and facilitate project approvals

Contribute to the continuous improvement of our construction processes and practices

What we're looking for

Degree in Construction Management or a related field

Minimum 5 years of experience as a Project Engineer in the construction industry

Experience must be specifically in commercial construction projects

Thorough understanding of construction methods, materials, and equipment

Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and other technical documents

Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills

Strong project management, time management, and organisational abilities

Effective communication and collaboration skills

Familiarity with relevant construction regulations and safety standards

Australian citizenship or permanent residency required
