We're recruiting on behalf of a leading insurance client seeking a Risk Manager for an initial 6-month contract to support their enterprise and operational risk management functions.

This is an ideal role for an experienced risk professional with a strong understanding of APRA and ASIC regulatory frameworks, who can contribute to risk oversight, reporting, and controls uplift across the business. The successful candidate will join a collaborative risk team and play a key role in ensuring effective risk governance in a highly regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the execution and enhancement of the enterprise risk management framework.
• Identify, assess, and monitor operational and emerging risks across business units.
• Conduct risk reviews and assist with control testing and assurance activities.
• Maintain risk registers and ensure timely reporting of key risk indicators (KRIs).
• Contribute to incident and issue management, including root cause analysis and remediation tracking.
• Provide insights and recommendations to improve risk mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to embed a strong risk culture.
• Support regulatory reporting and audit processes as required.

About You:

• Demonstrated experience in risk management within financial services, ideally insurance.
• Strong working knowledge of APRA Prudential Standards and ASIC obligations.
• Experience in operational risk, risk assessments, controls assurance, and incident management.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Confident communicator with the ability to engage with senior stakeholders.
• Background in risk, compliance, audit, or finance is highly regarded.
