About Our Client:

Our client is a well-established and respected name in the retail industry, with a national footprint and a strong customer focus. Due to continued growth and business demand, they are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accounts Payable Officer to join their finance team based in Moorabbin.

Key Responsibilities:

• Full function accounts payable processing in a high-volume environment
• Timely and accurate processing of invoices, ensuring correct coding and approvals
• Managing payment runs (EFT, cheque, credit card) and employee reimbursements
• Reconciling supplier statements and handling complex queries
• Supporting month-end processes including accruals and AP reporting
• Liaising with internal departments and external suppliers to resolve discrepancies
• Assisting with process improvement initiatives and AP system enhancements
• Acting as a senior point of contact within the AP team and providing guidance where required

Key Requirements:

• Demonstrated experience in a senior accounts payable role, ideally in a high-volume setting
• Previous experience in the retail industry is highly regarded
• Strong working knowledge of large ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics)
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• High attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines
• Solid Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.)
