Group Finance Manager – ASX Listed - Financial Services Business

About the Opportunity

The Group Finance Manager will play a key role in leading financial operations and supporting strategic decision-making. This role is responsible for overseeing group financial reporting, consolidation, impairment assessment, providing technical accounting advice and preparing ad-hoc accounting memos (e.g. M&A transactions) and finance due diligence for acquisitions.

This position requires a proactive leader who can partner with senior stakeholders, provide clear insights, and coach team members while ensuring strong governance and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including variance analysis and commentary.

Oversee the budgeting and forecasting process in collaboration with business stakeholders.

Provide financial analysis, insights, and impact assessments to support decision-making, investment, and operational improvements.

Ensure compliance with statutory reporting, tax obligations, and relevant financial regulations.

Develop and strengthen internal financial controls, policies, and procedures.

Support internal and external audit processes with timely and accurate responses.

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of finance professionals.

Skills & Experience

CA/CPA qualified with experience from within Big 4 or mid-tier chartered accounting firm (Senior Manager level) or commercial experience from a large ASX listed business.

Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards and their practical application.

Experienced with delegating workflow and leading and mentoring teams.
