Charterhouse are partnered with a well-established 4 partner firm in the heart of the Sydney CBD. The firm provide high level Tax Accounting & Business Advisory services to a broad client base including HNWI, medical, professionals up to around $100 million in turnover.

About the role
The role will work as a 2IC under the partner and help support and review the work of 2 intermediate accountants.

You will work also closely with a successful leadership team, and you will manage your own diverse portfolio of clients, including some with turnovers exceeding $100m, as well as international clients.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

• Preparing financial statements and taxation returns for companies, partnerships, trusts, and individuals
• Assisting with taxation issues, including GST, CGT, FBT, and Div7
• Preparing and lodging Business Activity Statements (BAS) and Instalment Activity Statements (IAS)
• Managing client interactions and responsibilities
• Mentoring and training junior staff members

Skills & Experience:

• 2-3+ years of experience in Business Services
• Proficiency with Xero
• Completed or currently studying towards your CA/CPA qualification
• A strong understanding of tax and accounting fundamentals
