Refrigeration Mechanic / HVAC Supervisor

Boiso’s Electrical Services is an award-winning, multi-service electrical and mechanical contracting business, proudly servicing mining, commercial, industrial, and residential clients across Central Queensland. We’re looking for a skilled Refrigeration Mechanic / HVAC Supervisor & Leading Hand to join our team in Emerald.

This is a hybrid role—you’ll combine hands-on refrigeration and HVAC work onsite with supervisory and office-based responsibilities such as quoting, take-offs, compliance, and team leadership.

The Role

Lead and coordinate refrigeration & HVAC works across commercial and residential projects

Split time between the tools onsite (installation, service, commissioning) and office-based duties (quoting, compliance, job planning)

Supervise tradespeople, apprentices, and subcontractors, ensuring safety, quality, and deadlines are met

Complete HVAC take-offs, pricing for tenders/small works, and support project handovers

Liaise with builders, suppliers, clients, and internal teams to ensure smooth delivery

Uphold compliance requirements (QBCC nominee, ARCtick) and maintain job documentation

What You Bring

Cert III in Air-Conditioning & Refrigeration (or equivalent)

Current Refrigerant Handling Licence (ARCtick)

Willingness (or current ability) to hold a QBCC Nominee Supervisor Licence

5+ years in HVAC installation and service, including site leadership experience

Strong ability to complete mechanical tender take-offs and pricing

Manual driver’s licence, White Card, and high safety standards

Experience with SimPRO or similar job management software is desirable
