About the Role!
The Quality Care Pharmacy Program is a quality assurance program focused on continuous improvement of community pharmacy services provided to the public. It operates within a quality management system framework inclusive of business and professional standard elements, procedures and templates against which, community pharmacies can be assessed and accredited.
The Director, QCPP provides leadership and strategic direction to QCPP and supports a collaborative team-based environment to achieve the objectives of QCPP
This is a full time position and is based at the Guild’s National Secretariat in Canberra.
About You!
You are an enthusiastic and focused professional with previous experience in successfully leading project/program teams and planning and overseeing projects/programs, from initiation to completion.
You will have a highly developed understanding of Quality Management Systems, Standards and Accreditation , with the ability to implement change management and continuous improvement programs inclusive of quality assurance. You will have a strategic and organisational perspective of projects and be able to successfully work across multiple settings and levels.

Position Description Excerpt
Key Responsibilities include:
Provide leadership and strategic direction to QCPP and support a collaborative team-based environment to achieve the objectives of QCPP
Contribute to QCPP and Guild strategic objectives by ensuring development of strategies is aligned to Guild priorities
Develop and oversee business plans and budgets which support QCPP strategic objectives and are aligned to the Guild priorities
Enable strategic and operational planning objectives to support practical implementation
Drive a continuous improvement environment through quality initiatives and projects that deliver on the strategies and key result areas as identified in QCPP planning
Demonstrate high level networking and communication skills, both internally and externally, to ensure engagement with networks, stakeholders and strategic partners
Provide high level advice on accreditation and quality management matters and produce (as required) high quality written material including submissions, committee papers, financial reports and complex correspondence
Contract management of QCPP Assessment Services, including identification of strategic opportunities for improvement, budget management and performance oversight via various Committees
Review trending analysis and identify risks, opportunities, enabling actions and Continuous Improvement, Innovation and business development activities
Coordination of the QCPP governance framework including the policy and procedure framework
Maintain QCPP viability through the effective and efficient financial, performance and risk mitigation management
Actively participate as a leader within Practice and Health Services to role model values and provide a high performance culture for staff
