Make a real difference
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Assistant director (or experienced Lead Educator ready for their next step) to assist the Mawson Team. You will be working with the team to deliver a quality Before and After School Care program. There are also consistent casual educators who work across the week.
In this role, you will support the Centre Director in the day-to-day management of the program and ensure all Educators, Families and Children are welcomed and feel a sense of belonging.
This is a permanent full-time position (76 hours/fortnight) working combination of block shifts of either 7.00am-3.00pm or 10.00am-6.00pm and split shifts (7.00-9.30am and 1.00-6.00pm), based on service needs.
Above award wage, including:
Children’s Services Award – Children’s Services Employee Level 5 with salary from $36.36 - $37.55 plus 12% superannuation, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
When a split shift is required, the split shift allowance of $19.00 per day will be paid
We are looking for someone who:
Has the requirements for an ACECQA approved first qualified educator eg. Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or School Age Care (or ACECQA equivalent); or 2 years' experience working with School Age Children AND completed 2 years in bachelor's degree in any field.
Has experience working in a Assistant Director, Coordinator, Lead Educator role in an Early Learning Centre or Out of School Hours Care service.
Has a current ACT WWVP card
Has a First aid, asthma and anaphylaxis certificates, or are willing to obtain.
Has a current National Police Check.
Has a strong knowledge of the National Quality Framework, including My Time Our Place or the Early Years Learning Framework.
