The Role
As a Rehabilitation Consultant, you will play a vital role in supporting veterans and serving members through tailored recovery pathways that promote wellbeing, independence, and return to meaningful life roles.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing a caseload of clients with physical and/or psychological injuries
Conducting assessments and developing tailored rehabilitation plans
Supporting smooth transitions from military to civilian life
Applying early intervention strategies and evidence-based practices
Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and liaising with key stakeholders
Preparing timely, high-quality reports
About You
Essential:
Qualified as an Occupational Therapist (AHPRA), Exercise Physiologist (ESSA), Physiotherapist (AHPRA), Psychologist (AHPRA), or Rehabilitation Counsellor (ASORC)
Experience in occupational rehabilitation, case management, or return-to-work coordination
Knowledge of NSW SIRA Workers’ Compensation and veteran and serving member rehabilitation frameworks
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
National Police Check & Working with Children Check
Current driver’s licence
Based in Tamworth or Regional NSW (work from home role)
Desirable:
Comcare accreditation
Mental Health First Aid training
Previous experience in veteran and serving member rehabilitation
