Overview:
We are seeking an APS5 Training Facilitator to join a values-based Federal Government Agency dedicated to enhancing service delivery for individuals with disabilities. In this role, you will play a vital part in the development and delivery of training programs that equip our frontline workforce with the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality service. You will engage in organising educational initiatives, providing policy advice, and contributing to the continuous improvement of training materials and learning environments. Your efforts will help ensure that the workforce is prepared to effectively meet the needs of participants.
Key Responsibilities:
As an APS5 Training Facilitator, you will:
- Facilitate workplace education using various formats such as in-person sessions, recorded content, and live online workshops.
- Create engaging learning environments that encourage participation and involvement from learners.
- Guide learners through course content, helping them apply theory to practical situations.
- Encourage thoughtful discussions and collaborative activities to deepen understanding.
- Address learner questions and provide necessary resources.
- Monitor participant progress and give constructive feedback.
- Utilise digital tools and Learning Management Systems (LMS) for training delivery and tracking.
- Adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learner needs.
- Evaluate training modules and courses to support continuous improvement.
- Manage documentation related to training processes and maintain accurate records.
- Stay informed about best practices in service delivery and educational technology relevant to training.
Required Skills:
- Experience in facilitating training in various formats (in-person, online).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with digital learning tools and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Ability to adjust teaching methods to fit different learners.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience creating training materials.
- Understanding of disability support policies.
- Knowledge of current educational technology trends.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- A degree in education, training, social sciences, or a relevant field is preferred.
- Previous experience in a training role, particularly in the public sector or disability sector, is advantageous.
Details:
12 months initial term contract - highly likely to extend.
Based in Geelong, VIC.
WFH Flexibility.
