Key Responsibilities:

Review and analyse drawings and specifications to identify the necessary materials, dimensions, and installation methods.

Select and order suitable timber and materials, then prepare layouts for construction.

Cut, assemble, and secure parts to build frameworks, fittings, and structures.

Build frameworks, panel systems, roof frames, sub-flooring, and install floorboards, ensuring structures are square and level.

Install fascia panels, sheath roofs, and fit external wall cladding, doors, and window frames.

Assemble prepared wood components to form structures and fittings for installation.

Accurately cut and shape wood joints to the required dimensions.

Construct concrete formwork as required.

Repair and renovate existing structures and fittings.

Work with other materials such as plastic laminates, Perspex, and metals when necessary.

Qualifications & Skills:

Certificate III with at least two years of on-the-job training, or Certificate IV.

Alternatively, a minimum of three years of relevant experience may be accepted in place of formal qualifications.

Proficiency with construction tools and equipment.

Strong understanding of safety protocols and compliance requirements.

Attention to detail and precision in measurements and construction processes.
