Over 70% of Tontine products are Australian made, and we’re proud of our long history of manufacturing in Australia. Tontine is also the maker of the original Aussie Doona, which is a favourite of Aussie families everywhere!

The Role:
We are looking for a full-time Product Development Lead who will report to the Chief Commercial Officer. You will guide our new product lifecycle from ideation through to launch. This is a commercially driven, creative position where you will set product strategy, lead a high-performing team, and collaborate closely with Marketing, Operations, Finance, Manufacturing, and the Management Team. Your insights and leadership will bring innovative products to market, supporting growth for both JCA and our retail partners.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and communicate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap, aligning with market trends and customer needs.

Lead, mentor, and inspire the Product Development team to ensure effective execution of projects.

Conduct market analysis with Marketing to identify opportunities, understand customer pain points, and gather insights to inform product decisions.

Report product plans, progress, and post-launch performance to the management team.

Drive cost efficiencies and profit growth through innovative product specifications and smart manufacturing solutions.

Enhance brand equity and value through high-quality, trend-driven products.

Manage the Critical Path process to ensure all deliverables and deadlines are met across the business.

Collaborate with creative marketing agencies as required.

Ensure all products comply with company standards, policies, and procedures.

Identify and implement improvements in quality and compliance processes.

Support ad-hoc internal and external requests as directed by your line manager.

Safety, Health & Environment:

Actively support and comply with all JCA SH&E policies and procedures.

Take reasonable care for your health and safety and that of others.

Cooperate with management to maintain a safe workplace and report incidents or unsafe conditions immediately.

What We’re Looking For:

Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.

Previous experience in Product Development.

Ability to lead a team, fostering creativity and productivity.

Strong administrative and operational knowledge, including ERP systems (Pronto) and Microsoft Office Suite.

Excellent organisational, planning, and multi-tasking skills.

Strong attention to detail, data accuracy, and excellent communication skills.

Flexible, proactive, and adaptable in a dynamic environment.

Experience in product buying or manufacturing.

Exposure to textiles, bedding, or product design in the textile industry.
