Job Title: Product Manager – Outdoor & Hunting Gear

Location: Carrum Downs
Department: Product Development
Reports To: Director

Key Responsibilities:

Product Strategy & Roadmap

Define and execute the product roadmap for hunting and outdoor categories.

Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and consumer trend forecasting.

Identify gaps and opportunities in the current product portfolio.

Product Development

Work closely with R&D, design, and manufacturing teams to develop and launch new products.

Create detailed product requirements and specifications.

Oversee the entire product lifecycle from concept to launch and post-launch optimization.

Customer Insights & Market Research

Engage with customers, field users, and sales teams to gather feedback.

Conduct field testing and collaborate with brand ambassadors, pro staff, and end-users.

Analyze data to ensure products align with user needs and performance expectations.

Project Management

Drive product development timelines, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.

Manage cross-functional teams including marketing, engineering, and operations.

Sales & Marketing Support

Partner with sales and marketing to create go-to-market strategies.

Provide product training, sales tools, and technical content to support product launches.

Attend industry events, trade shows, and field demos.

Qualifications & Experience:

3+ years of product management experience, preferably in the outdoor, hunting, or sporting goods industry.

Deep understanding for quality gear and preferably passion for the outdoors.

Experience working with cross-functional teams in product development cycles.

Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.

Ability to travel domestically and internationally for trade shows, vendor visits, field testing and dealing with manufactures.

Preferred Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Experience using PLM or ERP systems.

Knowledge of regulatory standards for outdoor and hunting products would be a bonus

Familiarity with digital tools like Adobe Creative Suite, CAD, or 3D modeling is a plus.

Firsthand experience with outdoor gear or hunting equipment would be a bonus.
