IT Support Officer

Position details

  • Full-Time, Maximum Term Contract until 30 April 2026
  • Classification: SCHADS Level 4 with a salary range of $88,169 to $94,888 per annum + Superannuation

About your new role

The IT Support Officer will provide service desk support to Neami service locations spread across Australia. The team is responsible for supporting all client computing which includes desktops, notebooks, smart phones, and tablets. Support is provided remotely using a combination of phone, email and the extensive use of remote desktop and management tools. The work is varied and is often busy and requires a flexible approach.

Responsibilities will range from assisting users with office applications or logon problems to resolving or escalating more complex issues related to network connectivity, group policy processing or permissions. Some project work will be required.

The IT Support Officer will be based at Neami's head office in Preston, VIC and work within a team managed by the Manager - IT Customer Service

What you will bring to the role

  • Good knowledge of the Windows 10, Microsoft/ Office 365 Suite, MS Azure Administration
  • Experience in level 1 & 2 helpdesk environment (minimum 2 years)
  • Ability to install, configure and support IT Hardware/ Software
  • Sound understanding of LANs including server/client communications, networking monitoring and devices (Meraki)
  • Demonstrated teamwork skills
  • Respect for non-technical users
  • IT procurement and billing administration
  • Analytical skills and resourcefulness to diagnose and resolve hardware/software/network faults
  • Personal drive to take ownership of technical issues and work on providing a result, even if the issue might be deemed mundane
  • Ability to work to agreed deadlines
  • Ability to maintain detailed and accurate records
  • Good written and oral communication skills

Desirable

  • Experience in Mobile Device Management Desirable
  • ITIL
  • CCNA Certification
