In this role, the successful candidate will provide services relating to compliance-based financial reporting, auditing, insolvency, accounting information systems, and advising on associated record-keeping requirements. The ideal candidate will have experience as an Accountant and a background in a similar field.

• BAS preparation, including GST calculations and reporting.
• Prepare and lodge various tax returns for individuals, businesses, and trusts.
• Ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.
• Providing tax planning advice to optimize tax outcomes for clients or the organization.
• Liaising with the ATO and other relevant authorities regarding tax matters.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and financial statements.
• Assisting in preparing budgets and financial forecasts to help the organization plan its financial future effectively.
• Analysing financial data to provide insights into the organization's financial performance, trends, and areas for improvement.
• Assisting in preparing external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations to auditors.
• Compiling financial reports such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements for internal and external stakeholders.
• Processing employee payroll, including calculating wages and deductions and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
• Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoicing, payment processing, and monitoring outstanding balances.
• Utilizing accounting software and systems to manage financial data efficiently and accurately.
• Providing financial advice and recommendations to management based on analysis of financial data and industry trends.
• Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies.
• Effectively communicating financial information to stakeholders, including management, investors, and regulatory bodies.

Bachelor-level qualification in the related field is desired but not a constraint for suitable candidates.

Minimum 2 years of experience as an Accountant.
