At Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD), our vision is clear: Trusted care, better health for everyone.

CCLHD is looking for motivated and compassionate Occupational Therapists to join our Mental Health Assertive Outreach Team (AOT) - a dynamic, community-based team making a real difference in the lives of consumers with complex mental health needs.

Why Join Us?

Be part of a dedicated team providing high-quality, recovery-focused care in the least restrictive setting; the client's own home or nearby community space.

Enjoy a rewarding role supporting adults with complex mental health needs outside of the hospital setting.

Work in a region known for its stunning coastline, relaxed lifestyle, and close-knit community, all just a short drive from Sydney or Newcastle.

About the Roles

We have both permanent full- and part-time roles available.

As an Occupational Therapist with the AOT, you'll:

Deliver targeted, evidence-based interventions to support consumers in achieving their recovery goals.

Provide assertive outreach services to ensure consistent engagement and care continuity.

Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, families, and carers to support optimal health outcomes.

For more information about this role, please view the Position Description

About You

You have a strong understanding of how mental illness impacts functional performance and the role of OT in supporting recovery.

You bring experience in evidence-based mental health OT practice, including individual and group-based interventions.

You’re a confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong partnerships with clients, families, and service providers.

You hold a recognised Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy with current Occupational Therapy registration with AHPRA.

Applicants must have current work rights in Australia or be a permanent resident or citizen. Unfortunately, we cannot consider applicants who do not meet this requirement.

Make the Move

Whether you're looking to escape the city, grow your skills in a supportive environment, or take on a new and rewarding challenge, CCLHD offers the opportunity to do meaningful work in an incredible setting.

Benefits

Work-Life Balance: Enjoy an accrued day off each month (full time employees), 17.5% annual leave loading, and paid parental leave.

Financial Benefits: Boost your take-home pay with salary packaging, save on car costs with novated leasing, and access relocation assistance.

Health & Wellbeing: Stay active with discounted gym memberships (Fitness Passport), free flu vaccinations, telehealth support, and confidential Employee Assistance Program (EAP) counselling for you and your family. Plus, access discounted private health insurance.
