Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Building and Garden Maintenance Allrounder/Handyman to join our team. This front-line, client-facing position is essential in maintaining our reputation for first-class property and facilities presentation.

You will be responsible for general building maintenance, gardens, and grounds, ensuring our assets always look and function at their best while fostering positive client relationships.

Experience preferred in at least one of the following skills:

Horticulture/Gardening, Tiling, Plastering, Carpentry, Painting, Plumbing, or General Handyman Duties.

Key Responsibilities

Groundskeeping and Landscaping:

Maintain lawns, gardens, and landscape beds to a high standard.

Plant, fertilize, water, prune, and care for flowers, trees, and shrubs.

Weed gardens, apply mulch, remove debris, and complete seasonal planting.

Carry out inspections and address issues such as irrigation leaks, drainage, and pests.

Operate and maintain grounds equipment (mowers, trimmers, blowers).

Engage and supervise specialist contractors when needed.

General Building Maintenance & Handyman Work:

Undertake routine maintenance and minor repairs such as painting, basic plastering, tiling, and general carpentry.

Perform minor HVAC, plumbing, and electrical tasks as required.

Change light fittings, repair fixtures, and assist with furniture movement or setups for events.

Support cleaning operations to ensure shared spaces are well presented.

Respond quickly to maintenance requests, delivering a professional, client-facing service.

Other Duties:

Work mainly outdoors with some indoor tasks.

Occasionally work evenings or weekends for special events or peak periods.

Safely lift heavy objects and operate tools/equipment in all weather conditions.

Skills, Attributes & Qualifications

Well-presented with a professional and approachable attitude

Relevant trade qualifications or demonstrated hands-on trade experience

Additional training in horticulture, landscaping, or related areas (advantageous)

3–5 years in a similar role within corporate, commercial, or property management environments

Understanding of irrigation systems, sustainable gardening, and water conservation practices

Strong eye for detail and good organisational skills

Independent worker with initiative

Knowledge of workplace health & safety regulations

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Live within 45 minutes of Brisbane CBD

Have a suitable utility vehicle for work transportation

What We Offer

Full-time role

Salary: $75,000 – $85,000 + superannuation (based on experience/qualifications)

Additional benefits: phone allowance and vehicle running costs
