Our client is a leading Australian homeware and kitchenware retailer with several brands under management with over 400 stores throughout the nation. They are seeking an energetic, professional and hard-working individual with prior retail industry experience to join their head office on a full-time casual basis as an Allocation Analyst with plenty of room for career growth.

About the Role:

Reporting to the Head of Planning, you will ensure product availability across stores to maximise retail sales, and act as a key touch point for store inventory queries between retail, merchandising and distribution centres.

Responsibilities:

Liaise with the planning team to launch products with allocations based on store budgets, layout and VM quantities

Daily review of replenishment levels to maximise stock availability in line with sales trends

Analysing stock on hand reporting and recommending stock transfers and consolidations

Collaborating with VM and E-Commerce teams to improve sales opportunities

Developing strong knowledge of product trends, store and geographic attributes across multiple national markets

About You:

Intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills with the ability to perform functions such as V-Lookup, Pivot tables, etc. is ESSENTIAL

Passionate about retail, numbers, and analysing data

Previous planning/inventory/allocation experience in an office environment is advantageous

Ability to work within a fast-paced team and autonomously as needed, while maintaining accuracy

Ability to think laterally and have a proactive approach

Strong communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to deal directly with internal and external stakeholders

Build relationships with team members from various departments internally

Tertiary qualifications within areas covering business, mathematics or supply chain is also desirable
