About the role

Techno Group Australia is on the hunt for a skilled and customer-focused Level 2 IT Technician to join our team. If you thrive on problem-solving, enjoy mentoring junior techs, and like the idea that no two days look the same, then this could be your next step.

We’ve been around since 1994, supporting everyone from local doctors to billion-dollar enterprises. We’re an MSP – so if you don’t know what that is, this might not be the role for you.

This is a hands-on role: you’ll be supporting customers onsite and remotely, helping guide our Level 1s, and making sure clients feel they’re in safe hands (because they are).

Responsibilities include

Mentoring junior technicians and helping them tackle tricky challenges.

Building customer rapport and delivering outstanding support experiences.

Installing, managing and troubleshooting hardware, software and networks.

Supporting virtualised and cloud-hosted environments.

Monitoring and responding to system alerts.

Producing clear documentation for issues and resolutions.

Advising clients on industry best practices and solution options.

What we’re looking for

3–5 years MSP experience (minimum 4 preferred).

Strong troubleshooting skills across a wide range of hardware/software.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills – you’ll be client-facing.

Solid experience with:

Windows environments & Active Directory

Virtualisation (VMware/Hyper-V)

O365 environments

Networking (routers, DHCP, DNS, firewalls)

Industry certifications (CompTIA, Microsoft, Networking, CyberSec, etc.) highly regarded.

Current driver’s license + rights to work in Australia.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
