We are in the lookout for a High Voltage Testing & Commissioning Engineer or Technician with over 5 years of experience to join our dynamic and friendly team.

Job Description

Reporting to the Principal Engineer, the profile of the ideal candidate will include, but not be limited to:

Extensive high voltage testing and commissioning experience in the substation and power station environment.

Experience in either substation or power station environments is sufficient for this role.

Extensive experience with HV cables, power transformers, HV motors, generators, switch boards and other HV apparatus.

Partial discharge testing on cables is highly regarded.

Familiar with state-of-the-art technologies and test equipment.

Circuit breaker, CT, VT, busbar testing experience.

Experience with secondary systems is an advantage.

Documentation experience such as writing ITPs, test plans, preparing of test reports, etc.

Highly developed skills in all forms of communication that enable effective interaction between management, employees, contractors and the ability to build relationships with customers/clients.

Well-developed commercial, business, financial, conceptual and analytical skills.

Demonstrated leadership that strives towards the commitment to Zero Harm.

You may be required to travel, both locally and/or interstate.

Having a Heavy Rigid (HR) licence is an advantage.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must hold a Degree or an Advanced Diploma in Electrical Engineering - Power Systems, which is recognized by the Institute of Engineers Australia.
