Service Leader – Kids Out West

At Kids Out West, we believe every child deserves to feel safe, respected, and supported to thrive. We provide therapeutic Out of Home Care (OOHC) services for children and young people, grounded in trauma-informed, child-safe, and culturally responsive practice.

We are seeking a Service Leader to join our team and guide Therapeutic Youth Workers in creating stable, nurturing homes that make a real difference.

About the Role

As a Service Leader, you'll:

Coordinate the day-to-day running of placements

Provide leadership, supervision, and mentoring to Therapeutic Youth Workers.

Support children and young people to achieve their individual goals and maintain family and community connections.

Build a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment that fosters healing and growth.

Collaborate with Case Managers, Therapeutic Specialists, and families to deliver high-quality care.

About You

We are looking for someone with:

A Certificate IV/Diploma in Community Services, Youth Work, Children's Services, Counselling, Case Management, or related field.

Experience in OOHC, youth, or community services.

Minimum 2 years' experience in OOHC, youth work, or community services (or equivalent transferable experience in social work or residential care)

Demonstrated experience in leading, supervising, or mentoring staff in a human services environment

Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.

A trauma-informed, strengths-based approach to working with young people.

Current WWCC, National Police Check, First Aid/CPR, and a valid driver's licence.
