This is an exciting opportunity to join the dynamic team at Kerfab Group as a Logistics / Freight Co-Ordinator. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for coordinating the efficient movement of goods between Kerfab and its customers and suppliers across Australia and New Zealand. The position is based in Kerang. VIC.

What you will be doing

Logistics Coordination/optimization/planning/execution

Manage daily inbound and outbound freight scheduling across road, air, and sea (domestic and international if required).

Manage Receiving and Shipment function of the logistics, including inspection and audit of the parts and products

Liaise with freight forwarders, carriers, and couriers to ensure cost-effective and timely transport solutions.

Track, monitor, and report on shipments to ensure delivery deadlines are met.

Coordinate with production and warehouse teams to align freight requirements with manufacturing schedules.

Perform required audits, checks and audits of the parts/products at the receiving and at despatch as required.

Storage management of the parts in the yard, upon receiving, before shipment, and during storage with required inventory reporting in the ERP

Continuously Optimize freight and shipments operation, as well as strategic planning optimization to ensure overall end to end on time delivery of the products/parts and freight cost reduction

Any other activities assigned by Chief Operating Officer as required and decided

Freight & Compliance Management

Ensure compliance with relevant transport legislation, chain of responsibility, and workplace safety requirements.

Maintain accurate freight documentation, including manifests, customs documents (if required), and proof of delivery.

Review freight invoices for accuracy and process approvals.

Implement and monitor cost-saving initiatives in freight and logistics.

Customer & Stakeholder Service

Act as the first point of contact for freight-related queries from customers and internal teams.

Coordinating freight and logistics related matters for all Kerfab sites across the nation and offshore.

Provide proactive communication on shipment status, delays, and resolutions.

Support national sales and customer service teams with freight pricing, lead times, and delivery updates.

Systems & Reporting

Maintain logistics data in ERP systems and freight portals.

Produce regular reporting on freight costs, delivery performance, and carrier efficiency.

Support continuous improvement projects in freight, logistics, and distribution processes.
