I am currently working with a Federal Government Agency recruiting for an APS Program Coordinator position. The Agency is driving major programs of work to deliver innovative, fit-for-purpose ICT solutions that improve services and outcomes for the community. You will be working in the digital platforms branch, which supports key projects that provide innovative platforms used by participants, staff, providers, and stakeholders nationwide.

This is a 12-month contract with the possibility of a further 12-month extension, based in Sydney or Melbourne with flexible hybrid working arrangements.

As a Program Coordinator, you will be responsible for providing vital program and administrative support to ensure the smooth delivery of initiatives across the branch. Working closely with senior leaders and project teams, you will coordinate resources, manage trackers, assist with onboarding, facilitate communications, and maintain accurate documentation. This is a dynamic role where attention to detail, organisation, and stakeholder engagement are key.

What you’ll be doing

• Coordinate onboarding for new team members, including equipment, access, and induction support.
• Organise meetings, workshops, and forums with internal and external stakeholders.
• Maintain resource trackers, project documentation, and action logs to keep projects on track.
• Support procurement processes and assist with branch scheduling, including leave management.
• Provide ad hoc administrative support to managers and project teams.

About you

• Bring 3–4 years of experience in similar roles.
• Confident juggling multiple tasks with strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Skilled communicator who can liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Bonus points if you’ve worked with platforms like SharePoint, Confluence, or Jira, or have experience in PMO/project environments.
• Adaptable, proactive, and eager to contribute to a collaborative team environment.
• You are Australian Citizen. Candidates must be able to obtain a Baseline Clearance.
