The Opportunity:
As a Project Engineer or Senior Project Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering multiple projects across South Australia & the greater Adelaide region. Working alongside senior engineers and project managers, you’ll take ownership of site delivery, coordinate subcontractors, manage procurement, and oversee quality and program outcomes. This role offers the chance to mentor junior engineers, step into leadership responsibilities, and progress towards project and operations management roles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the delivery of civil and specialty projects, including piling, FRP, and complex concrete structures.
• Oversee short and long-term programming, making strategic decisions to keep projects on track while optimising productivity and resources.
• Manage cost control activities, including budget tracking, forecasting, and commercial reporting to ensure financial targets are achieved.
• Drive design optimisation initiatives, collaborating with engineers and stakeholders to deliver innovative, agile solutions that improve constructability and efficiency.
• Coordinate subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring strict adherence to robust QA, environmental, and safety management systems, and leading their implementation on site.
• Take ownership of procurement and submissions, ensuring packages are well-detailed, delivered on time, and aligned with project requirements.
• Monitor and enforce safety protocols and environmental compliance, embedding a strong safety-first culture across site teams.
• Provide clear communication and leadership to the project team, liaising with senior engineers, clients, and stakeholders to align on objectives and resolve issues proactively.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers, creating opportunities for growth and building a strong pipeline of future leaders.

What You Need to Succeed:

• 5+ years’ local experience in civil and structural project delivery, ideally with subcontractor hands on experience.
• Ideally you will have experience in concrete structures, FRP, or piling.
• Demonstrated ability to run site delivery, manage contractors, and coordinate works independently.
• Proven experience with procurement, QA/QC, programming, and cost control.
• Hands-on, self-starting attitude with the drive to progress into leadership.
• Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
