You will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Western Australia’s freight transport system, delivering a transformative legacy for generations to come.

As Program Director, you will drive a program-wide approach to the implementation and innovation of Westport strategies and policies, benefits realisation, program control, quality, and facilitation activities supporting marine, port, road, and rail infrastructure works throughout the definition and delivery phases of the program. Working alongside and in collaboration with Project Directors, you will provide integration, control, and assurance functions across both infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects. Providing information, guidance and oversight to support Project Directors and managers in achieving program policy objectives and delivery milestones through enabling them to manage their projects within your program management framework

Building capability and inspiring high performance across the program through mentoring and strong leadership.

You will join a bold and collaborative team, shaping a future-ready freight transport system that fosters connection, innovation and long-term prosperity for Western Australia.

What sets you apart:

In addition to your proven success leading multidisciplinary teams in high-profile, politically sensitive environments to deliver complex programs and infrastructure projects, you will also bring:

Extensive stakeholder leadership with demonstrated ability to engage and influence across all levels of government, industry, unions, and communities.

Program management excellence, a strong track record in governance, reporting, risk management, and steering committee engagement at scale.

Innovation in sustainability, productivity, and workplace practices, creating a culture that embraces new ideas, fosters collaboration, and drives measurable improvements in program delivery.

High-level influence and negotiation with proven ability to build consensus, resolve conflict, and drive outcomes among diverse and high-profile stakeholders.

Deep governance expertise and a strong understanding of governance principles and their practical application in a government program context.

Resilience and tenacity with the capacity to navigate complexity, anticipate challenges, and deliver solutions in fast-moving and dynamic environments.
