Title: Digital Marketing / Performance Ads Specialist
Department: Growth & Marketing
Reports to: Group Marketing & Growth Director
Location: Tullamarine, VIC
Employment Type: Full-time

Purpose of the Role

The Digital Marketing / Performance Ads Specialist is responsible for the strategic execution, optimisation, and reporting of paid digital campaigns for Cheapest Liquor and RainCo Tapware.

We’re not just hiring for a role — we’re building a powerhouse, full in-house marketing team designed to drive long-term growth and market leadership. This position is the foundation for that journey, offering the right candidate the opportunity to grow with us into senior positions as the team expands.

This role plays a critical part in acquiring new customers, improving digital channel efficiency, and driving growth performance across Meta, Google, and other key platforms.

Key Responsibilities

1. Campaign Management & Execution

Build and launch digital ad campaigns across Meta, Google, TikTok (and others as required)

Monitor daily performance, pacing, and efficiency of paid media budgets

Execute A/B testing (audience, format, copy, placement, creative)

Manage retargeting and prospecting segments across the funnel

Coordinate lifecycle campaigns and promotional bursts

2. Data Analysis & Optimisation

Track campaign performance and adjust based on data insights

Deliver weekly reporting and performance summaries for key stakeholders

Interpret data to inform future creative, platform, and budget strategies

Manage dashboard tools and maintain up-to-date campaign tracking in line with KPIs

3. Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work closely with marketing leads to align messaging and timing across campaigns

Brief content creators and designers on ad asset requirements

Collaborate with eCommerce and merchandising teams to align landing pages and offers

Coordinate with external SEO and SEM consultants when applicable

4. SEO & Organic Performance Oversight

Monitor and report on organic traffic performance

Collaborate with partners or contractors on SEO audits, content, and performance improvements

Ensure all platforms are optimised for search visibility (Google Merchant Center, Meta Catalogues, etc.)

5. Process & Continuous Improvement

Maintain a structured testing calendar and campaign logs

Identify new growth channels or ad technologies worth testing

Proactively improve reporting and workflow systems

Participate in monthly retrospectives and quarterly growth planning

Meta Business Manager

Google Ads, GA4, Google Merchant Center

Shopify & Klaviyo (for alignment and tracking)

SEMrush / Ahrefs (SEO tools)

Slack, Trello, Notion (internal communication & workflow)

Group Marketing & Growth Director (Performance oversight, reporting)

Marketing Team (Creative briefs, promotions, messaging alignment)

eCommerce & Operations Team (Customer experience alignment, product listings)

Creative / Design Team (Asset production, branding cohesion)
