Workfast is seeking a Tree Planting / General Hand / Water Truck Operator to join our client based in Bayswater, WA.

This role will initially focus on completing the city's tree planting program and caring for juvenile trees, before transitioning into a backup water truck operator position. It's a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors and wants to develop new skills operating different vehicles and equipment.

What You Get

• $40.00 per hour + penalties
• Monday - Friday, 6:00am - 3:00/3:30pm
• 9-day fortnight with a rostered day off (unpaid)
• Depot facilities including showers, lockers, tea/coffee, and occasional BBQ breakfasts
• Work as part of a collaborative 4-person crew

What You Need

• Current MR auto licence and C class manual licence
• Ability to operate heavy vehicles in urban areas and reverse trailers safely
• Police clearance (within 6 months)
• White Card
• Confident working alone from a task list and navigating routes
• Ability to work in a team and adapt to new vehicles (different truck setups)
• Desirable: Arboriculture or Horticulture qualifications/experience

What You'll Be Doing

• Completing the planting of new trees across the city
• Carrying out basic maintenance of juvenile trees as directed
• Operating water trucks (7000L autos) or ute and trailer for tree watering
• Using hoses and cannons to deliver water safely and effectively
• Supporting the team with general outdoor and depot tasks when required
