HR Truck Driver / Labourer (Civil Construction)

ChoiceOne are currently seeking a reliable Truck Driver / Labourer with a positive attitude and work ethic to join one of our local councils and assist in the construction of the City's road assets and maintenance activities.

About the various roles:

• Undertake truck driving duties.
• Undertake general labouring duties including road construction watering, tree watering, concrete mixing and concrete laying.
• Responsible for minor maintenance of truck, plant, tools and equipment in accordance with City of Melville procedures.
• Operation of road construction plant including rollers and water trucks
• Operation of small plant and equipment such as jack hammers, generators, compactors and power saws.
• Implement Basic Traffic management as required.
• Happy to train up on all skills necessary for the right candidate

Successful candidates MUST have

• HR Truck Licence.
• White card.
• Demonstrated truck driving experience.
• Civil construction experience.
• Good attitude and willing to get hands dirty.

Desirable

• Senior First Aid Certificate.
• Basic Worksite Traffic Management.
• Traffic Controller ticket.
• Experience operating road construction plant i.e. twin drum roller.
• Experience in road/drainage construction and maintenance practices.
• Experience in the safe operation of small plant and equipment.
• Experience in small plant maintenance.
