The Shire of Mingenew is looking for a motivated Casual Works General Hand to join our team from September to December 2025, with the possibility of extension. Typically working 8.5–9 hours a day on a 9-day fortnight, this role is perfect for someone who enjoys being outdoors, takes pride in hands-on work, and values being part of a supportive team. It’s an excellent opportunity for someone living in or near Mingenew who wants to make a real contribution to their community.

As a Works General Hand, you’ll be involved in road construction and maintenance, the upkeep of community and recreation facilities, and a range of general town maintenance tasks. Key requirements for this role include:

Hold a valid WA Driver’s Licence (HR class minimum);

Hold a WA White Card;

Have experience in plant operation and/or town maintenance, or be able to demonstrate transferable skills;

Experience in water truck and roller operation for road maintenance and construction work will be highly valued.
