About the Role
As Finance and Operations Manager, you’ll oversee finance and operations, working closely with the Executive Officer and supporting the Board and Finance Committee. This includes financial reporting, payroll, audit preparation and continuous improvement of systems and processes.
The role also has company secretariat responsibilities such as preparing Board papers, drafting minutes and supporting the AGM cycle. If you don’t have prior experience in this area, that’s not a barrier — you’ll be supported and trained by the CEO to build these skills with confidence.

Duties
- Lead or support budgeting, reporting, payroll and audit preparation
- Prepare reports for the Board and Finance Committee and ensure compliance
- Manage accounts receivable, payable and BAS GST compliance
- Oversee insurance, asset register and procurement policies
- Contribute to policy development, systems improvement and positive team culture
- Support major HTAV events with occasional after-hours involvement
Skills and Experience
- Qualifications in bookkeeping or accounting (or working toward)
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn or apply established expertise
- Proficiency in MYOB and Excel (advanced formulas desirable)
- Payroll, BAS and audit experience valued but not essential
- Clear communication skills, discretion and collaborative team approach
- Either a growth mindset to develop governance skills, or proven governance experience, you’re ready to apply
