About the Role
We’re seeking a skilled and versatile Machinery Operator / Maintenance Technician to operate and maintain farm machinery, oversee accommodation maintenance, train staff, and support orchard operations. This hands-on role is ideal for a proactive all-rounder with a passion for horticulture and technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities

Operate farm machinery (tractors, harvesters, sprayers) safely and efficiently to support citrus production.

Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on machinery and equipment to minimise downtime.

Conduct maintenance of on-site accommodation facilities, including minor repairs (e.g., plumbing, electrical).

Train and mentor staff on safe machinery operation and maintenance procedures.

Maintain accurate records of maintenance schedules, repairs, and WHS compliance.

Assist with general orchard tasks (e.g., planting, irrigation, harvesting) as required.

Undertake company-directed training and additional duties to support operational needs.

About You
Essential:

Proven experience operating and maintaining farm machinery in a horticultural or agricultural setting.

Mechanical aptitude with skills in troubleshooting and minor repairs.

Strong communication skills to train staff and collaborate with the team.

Commitment to workplace health and safety (WHS) regulations.

Current Australian driver’s license.

Physical fitness for outdoor work in varying conditions.

Desirable:

Trade qualification (e.g., Certificate III in Agricultural Mechanical Technology or similar).

Experience in citrus farming or irrigation system maintenance.

Forklift license or certifications in WHS or first aid.

Rural background

Knowledge of Fair Farms, Fresh Care, or HACCP standards.

Benefits
