Production Office – Nu-Lite Balustrades Pty Ltd

Nu-Lite Balustrades is a leading manufacturer and installer of architectural balustrade and glazing systems, servicing both residential and commercial projects across Victoria. We are seeking a motivated Junior Draftsperson / Mechanical Engineer to join our production office team.

About the Role

In this role, you will work closely with our production and project management teams to deliver accurate technical documentation that supports manufacturing and installation. Key responsibilities include:

Preparing cutting sheets and shop drawings for production

Producing detailed cutting sheets using MS Excel

Producing detailed drawings using AutoCAD

Interpreting architectural and structural plans for balustrade and glazing systems

Assisting senior engineers and drafting Staff in developing technical solutions

Ensuring all documentation meets compliance and quality standards

About You

We are looking for someone who is eager to learn, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have:

A qualification (or working towards) in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, or related discipline

Proficiency with AutoCAD, MS Excel, and general Microsoft Office applications (essential)

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

The ability to read and interpret construction drawings

Understanding of construction processes and building standards (preferred but not essential for the right candidate)

Good communication and teamwork skills

A proactive attitude with a willingness to develop and grow within the business

Eligible to work in Australia (Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or valid work visa)
