A great opportunity for a full time Mechanical Engineer has become available in our team located in Melbourne.

Duties & Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Mechanical Engineering design with multidisciplinary focus;

CAD Drawing of Mechanical designs;

Undertaking professional developing training

Delivering fully coordinated building services engineering documentation

Administration of site activities / installations

Attend client meetings as required

Designing mechanical equipment, machines, components, products for manufacture, and plant and systems for construction

Developing specifications for manufacture, and determining materials, equipment, piping, material flows, capacities and layout of plant and systems

Establishing standards and policies for installation, modification, quality control, testing, inspection and maintenance according to engineering principles and safety regulations

Inspecting plant to ensure optimum performance is maintained

Directing the maintenance of plant buildings and equipment, and coordinating the requirements for new designs, surveys and maintenance schedules

Candidate Requirements
To be considered for this role you will have:

At least three years experience in Building Services Engineering including in the design and documentation of HVAC systems within commercial buildings for high end office Fit outs, Data Centers and Plant Upgrades

Must have HVAC experience in commercial buildings

A Victorian Building Practitioners certificate would be an advantage but not mandatory

You would be self motivated with the ability to manage your own time in order to deliver and manage projects on time and in line with company quality expectations. Included would be managing other internal disciplines to provide the complete building services design package for projects you undertake

You will have a flexible and innovative approach to your work, and work well in a small team environment.

Lead by example displaying a can-do attitude when satisfying the needs of projects and clients

You will be encouraged to keep abreast of current and emerging trends within your discipline including the Australian Building Code, OH&S compliance and NABERs and Greenstar and general good practice design

Good communication skills when communicating internally and externally with reports, presentations and specification writing etc

Sufficient understanding of multiple disciplines to represent the company during general meetings etc

Salary & Employment Details

This is a full-time role with a base salary in the range of $75K - $85K, based on experience.
