Boom Studios is part of the Boom Group. We are a solutions based, innovative production and design studio that look after various brands and institutions across Australia

We design and produce all under one roof with printers, flat beds, laser cutters, routers and anything else you can think of to make the job as easy as possible. If what we design and make doesn't look beautiful, then the work isn’t for us. Aesthetics, quality and craft are our priorities.

Display in retail and the arts, both static and digital is our forte. We try and produce everything in-house, giving the ability to watch your project come to life every step of the way. From small product displays to large scale events with endless elements, we do it all.

About the role

As Production Manager, you’ll oversee the production team and lead the delivery of custom projects/retail roll-outs from initial concept to successful completion. You’ll be responsible for strategic planning, scheduling and ensuring every project runs on time and within budget.

Your position will include

Leading a team of 10+ multi-skilled production staff (Sign-writers, Cabinet makers, Print Finishers and More)

Adopting the use of Shopvox Production Software

Managing Stock levels

Maintaining a high level of Safety complying with all OH&S Regulations

Ensuring all machinery is operating efficiently and serviced on-time

Limiting overtime by running a tight and efficient schedule

Staff Management inclusive of Casual and Sub-contractors when needed

Your skills

Proven ability to lead teams and manage complex projects under tight deadlines

You will need experience in custom fabrication and/or signage installations.

Strong technical understanding of manufacturing and fabrication processes

You will have a minimum of 5 years in a similar role.

Practical, solutions-focused mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement

Be a great problem solver with the ability to spin plates and think on your feet.

Great time management and organisational skills.

Excellent attention to detail.

A passion for the industry and what you do.

An ability to work in high pressure situations while maintaining a sense of humour and a smile.
